Terms of Use

These terms govern use of the privately operated Preble County Court Docket reference resource. They explain the limits of the information, the role of official courts and clerks, and the conditions that apply when using the resource or an outside service reached through it.

Read Before Using. Preble County Court Docket is not a court, clerk office, or government agency. It does not hold the official record, and an official court or clerk must confirm any case information, document, or setting.

1. What This Website Is

Preble County Court Docket is a private reference resource for locating official court and clerk paths in Preble County, Ohio. It describes public access channels for local court records but does not operate a docketing system, establish court procedures, or represent any court.

Common Pleas files, municipal files, Probate files, and Juvenile files can have different custodians and access rules. The resource’s descriptions do not replace the current instructions of the office that holds a case.

2. Informational Use Only

Material is supplied for general reference. It is not an official court record, legal advice, a substitute for a court notice, or a statement that a particular case exists, has a stated outcome, or remains current.

3. Rules for Using This Site

By using the resource, you agree not to misuse it or interfere with its operation.

  • Follow applicable federal, state, and local law.
  • Do not use information to harass, threaten, or stalk another person.
  • Do not use information for purposes regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts.
  • Do not deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools against the resource.
  • Do not disrupt access for other visitors or impair site operation.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Preble County Court Docket is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare consumer reports, and material available here or through an outside tool may not be used for a purpose the FCRA regulates. The footer notice states the same restriction and requires verification with the original court or clerk.

5. No Legal Advice

No content on the resource creates an attorney-client relationship or supplies advice about a pending case, charge, order, filing, appeal, deadline, or other legal matter. Consult a licensed Ohio attorney for advice about a specific situation.

6. Accuracy Is Not Guaranteed

The information is provided as available and without a warranty of completeness, accuracy, timeliness, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Court records can change when filings are made, a date moves, an order is entered, or access is restricted. Verify a docket entry, date, fee, or procedure with the responsible office before acting on it.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

The resource links to independent clerk, court, county, state, and provider websites. Their content, availability, fees, privacy practices, and terms are outside this resource’s control. Use of an external service is subject to that service’s own rules.

8. Intellectual Property

Site text, graphics, logos, and code are owned by Preble County Court Docket or its content partners unless another owner is identified. They may not be copied, distributed, altered, or used to create a derivative work without written permission, except where law allows.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Preble County Court Docket is not liable for loss or damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the resource or an external service reached through it.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Preble County Court Docket and its affiliates, providers, and representatives from claims, demands, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the resource or breach of these terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. A dispute connected with use of the resource must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Ohio.

Official court-record access remains governed by the applicable Ohio authority, including Ohio Sup.R. 45 and, where applicable, R.C. 149.43.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version becomes effective when posted on this page, and continued use after posting indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
